WEBFI-WordPress-How to Import External Images in WordPress
Do you have external images on your WordPress site that you want to import? This can happen when you move your site from one platform to another this is a common occurrence to have them embedded on your site. In this video, we will show you how to properly import those external images in WordPress.
For this tutorial we will be using the Auto Upload Images plugin found here:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/auto-upload-images/
Install and activate the plugin then go to Settings where there will now be an Auto Upload Images section that you will need to go to. We will use the default settings as that will work for most sites so if you save at the bottom of the page it will ensure that you are using the default settings.
This plugin will automatically update any new posts and images to import them but not your old posts without you updating them. To do this we will go to Posts, All Posts and using the screen options in the top right you can increase how many posts are listed at one time.
Click the select all checkbox in the top left of your list of posts to select them all then in the dropdown at the top select Edit then click the Apply button. You only want to click the Update button to have the plugin scan through the list of posts and import any external images onto your site.
