WEBFI-WordPress-How to Start an Online Store in 2021 (Step by Step)
Do you want to start your own online store? Creating an online store can be a terrifying thought especially if you’re not technically inclined. In this video, we’ll show you how to build your online store with WordPress step by step.
This video brought to you by WPForms, the most beginner friendly WordPress form plugin, take a look at their site here:

This guide will be using a site on Bluehost to set ut up. You can use our referral link to get any active discounts we have negotiated by using our link below:
https://www.wpbeginner.com/refer/bluehost-ecommerce/
We will go through the steps to install your WordPress site with BlueHost and how to log in with their system. You can change the login username/password when you log into the site but BlueHost automates that for you when starting out.
WooCommerce should have been automatically been installed on your site if you purchased the WoCommerce hosting from BlueHost. If WooCommerce pulls up their startup wizard, we would want to click the I don’t need help link for starting out as we’ll be walking you through. You can always go back and use the startup wizard if you want.
In the Settings, General area, you can set your site’s title and tagline to have your site title be what you actually want your visitors to see. We would not recommend updating the URL or address to prevent anything from breaking on your site.
Now we would want to go under Products, Help in the top-right, and activate the setup wizard to help design what you’re wanting your site to sell. We would want to activate under WooCommerce, Settings in the payment tab the methods that we would want to use. For testing purposes, we would recommend using cash on delivery until the store goes live.
There are many different customization options available and we would recommend watching this video or read through the written article to see what can be done.

thanks for such a valuable tutorial!
Can I make a site like this, but without carts and check out? More like a product display website.
When I add https into the settings it then takes me to either a 404 page not found or that the connection isn't private and I can't even select save changes and It completely breaks. I then have to delete the site and start again.
Also, why does the URL appear as box12345 as an example, rather than the website name I have chosen? If I change this it also breaks
Dear WPbeginner, I love your content: clear, concise and genuine advice… however I have a question regarding this video and your other similar video that you made a year ago (this one – https://youtu.be/qaAcCDeYy9k ) – can I follow the 2020 video and get the same outcome as you had now or have things changed since regarding bluehosts domain plans. In short why should I pay more for bluehosts standard or premium online store plan rather than follow what you did in the 2020 video (a fair bit cheaper) – are there any huge advantages in the more expensive method?
Thank you
You are amazing… a very concise tutorial covering everything.
I don't have a whoocommerce tab or products tab anyone know how to find these?
Wonderful tutorials you offer! Thank you! Quick question – I am building a Woo Commerce Word Press site with the Storefront theme. I had added three pages as submenu pages under the Shop menu. I did this in order to have three different product categories all under the Shop banner but when I create the product listings they all show up under Shop -not the specific pages I wanted them to be listed under. Any ideas what I'm missing? Thanks very much!
So helpful !~
Thank you so much!
How much did this all cost for the full set up?
You guys are the best on the net
